Enhance Club services, Manage the workload and Keep fees low!
NSGSC currently provides a quality, accessible, low-cost soccer experience for North Shore Girls because the Club operates 99% with volunteer efforts. To keep soccer fees at this low-cost level, we need all NSGSC families to participate by volunteering in at least one area of interest every year your daughter(s) participate in the club. Ideally, if every family gave 60 hours of volunteer time over the 24+ week season, NSGSC could enhance services and maintain low cost fees. The saying many hands make light work is a reality within our Club. To ensure NSGSC sustainability, all families need to contribute. The following list provides a flavour of NSGSC volunteer opportunities. If you have another interest area, please let us know. We are confident that we can match your interest area with a target volunteer opportunity within the club.
To volunteer, fill in the volunteer section when you complete your daughter's registration form or go to website under volunteer section and add your name and contact information to listed volunteer opportunities or email:

Thank you for volunteering
with the North Shore Girls Soccer Club and getting a Criminal Record Check
(CRC) to ensure our players have a fun and safe soccer experience.
The North Vancouver RCMP
has given us the following instructions for North Vancouver resident Volunteers. It should help to
make this a smooth process.
If you are not a resident
of North Vancouver,
please contact our Risk Management Director for instructions on how to obtain
your CRC.
Volunteers must complete
and drop off the three forms
identified below in person at their local RCMP detachment. The process time to
drop off the completed forms and show your ID should take less than 5 minutes. Volunteers
should allow approximately 2 weeks for the processing.
The Three Forms and Instructions:
·
The three
forms are available on the Club website www.nsgsc.ca
under “Documents/ Forms”. Locate, download and complete them as follows:
·
There are two
RCMP forms:
1.
RCMP CRC 3584e
(This form must print on one sheet
of paper. You should use 8.5 X 14 inch Legal paper to print this form but as long
as it does not scale too small it should be acceptable on 8.5 X 11).
2.
RCMP CRC 3923e
– The form must print on one sheet
of paper as above.
·
Complete all
required sections on BOTH forms and
initial all 4 boxes under the Category
of Information for Disclosure section on the bottom of the RCMP-GRC 3584e form.
·
The third form
is the:
3.
NSGSC Volunteer Letter - CRC: This
letter establishes that you are a Club volunteer. With this letter, the CRC will be free of
charge. Without this letter you will
have to pay for the CRC.
·
Bring the three forms (two CRC forms and the Volunteer
Letter) to a local RCMP detachment along
with photo ID. You must provide
one form of identification showing your current address in North Vancouver (drivers
licence is good because it has both a photo and your address). If you have no
ID that shows your current North Vancouver address, a BC Hydro, Telephone, or
similar bill showing your name and address will suffice. Addresses for the four local RCMP offices are
set out below.
Parents/guardians
are required to volunteer in some capacity. You may wish to select one of the
volunteer positions listed on the registration form. In selecting one of
these positions, you are agreeing to perform this task when called upon.
If you have neither the time nor the inclination to volunteer your time,
you may select to donate $25 in lieu.
Tryouts for the Pacific Coast Soccer league--NSGSC Stars will be held on Sunday March 21st,and 28th, 2010 at Confederation artificial turf field 6-8:00pm.
