Spring Break Academy
Join Alistair and his
fabulous coaching staff this spring break for a first rate soccer program. The
Academy camps have been as overwhelming success. Here are some of the feedback
we've gotten so far:
"To
Coach, My daughter is in
U10 and it is her second year playing. I enrolled her in the Thursday night
development after a friends recommendation. It was a great decision. I have
never seen her move so fast with the ball. I love the skills and the
conditioning that I saw." "We just wanted to
let you know how much our daughter Jade is enjoying the Wednesday sessions at
Confederation and we hope that you continue with new programs. Jade can't wait
to get there every week and your teams' energy and enthusiasm has definitely
rubbed off on her. We are usually the first or second ones there every
week.", "A huge thank you for putting on the girls development camp for the
last few Thursdays. My daughter Taylor plays for the Zorro’s and several of her
teammates are in the camp too. All are thoroughly enjoying it. They even want
to spend an extra hour each Thursday J"
Our next camp is happening at Confederation
field during Spring Break, March 8th to 12th. U6 to u7 will go from 9:30 to
11:30 at a cost of only $80. and u8 to u14 will go from 9:00 to 12:00 at a cost
of only $120. A fabulous Academy at a fabulous price, join us if you can.

In November 2001 the board of the NSGSC voted on a coaching policy which would ensure that all of our coaches had the Community Coach Youth (CCY) coaching certification. The policy states that in order bring our training methods in line with CSA and BC Soccer standards, each coach must complete the CCY within 2 years of actively coaching a team. (The CCY is equivalent to the old NCPP Level 1 and 2 and requires 20 hours of practical and theory instruction.)
Last year, we negotiated a unique agreement with BC Soccer, which allows us to train our coaches in partnership with the North Shore Soccer Development Centre (NSSDC) wherein, time spent at coaching clinics will be credited towards certification. This resulted in 79 new certified coaches for our club.
Coaching certification classes are also offered through North Vancouver Recreation. Please check back for this year's coaching classes.
